This course provides training in developing relationships in and with nature.

It makes available the pioneering model used to train psychotherapists in working in allegiance with nature, to associated professionals without psychotherapy training, allowing a wider community of practitioners to benefit from this approach within their work supporting the wellbeing of individuals, communities and teams.

This course comes at a pivotal point in our human history.  A time when disconnection from nature and reliance on socially isolating online media have become normalised, creating a distorted sense of reality from which to try and find meaning and purpose. This dysfunction contextualises the value of the Nature Allied approach, in a world in which our social fabric is torn and people feel lost, lonely and disconnected – a harm which will be exacerbated as the use of AI increases.

This course helps professionals bring back wholeness to their own and client’s lives – centred in a relationship with nature as a means of finding our sense of self, reality and identity – grounded in the realness of nature and our place within it.

Fully immersed in the natural world, learning under the canopy of the trees, whilst in community with your fellow students, this course will give you with the skills, confidence and personal insight to work reflectively, in allegiance with nature.

The course covers:

  • Nature Allied Psychotherapy theory and framework, for holding safe and transformative spaces, and facilitating relational exploration with nature.
